Default cam timing specs

Is there anywhere online I can find how to set the stock cams back into time properly and also get the head bolt torqued? Thanks for any info!

I think the head bolts are 7 lbs, and as for the timing, just use a TDC bolt to hold your piston at TDC (I assume you know this, but if not just ask) and then there are lines on your cam gears, and depending if you are TDC on compression stroke or not, this will determine if your cam lobes oppose each other or face each other.Just line up the marks and you should be fine. I hope this helps, just ask for more info if you need it.

It's no problem I appreciate it, are all the bolts around the head all I have to remove or are there some under the cam cover? Thanks for the help!

There are just the top bolts, then you remove the cover and you will see your cams and then the cam chain on the left side. There is a chain tensioner also on the left side behiend the jugs, it's i think a 17 mm bolt. Pull that out but make sure to keep it clean, and then the chain should loosen up. There are 8 bolts on the cam bridge that holds the cams down, but as for taking those out I don't know. I mean I know how to take em out but I don't know if you will need to in order to set the chain. If you can't slip the chain, then remopve the bridgem and tilt the cams and then try I believe. I betcha there is a better/easier way, but from my knowledge this is how i'd prolly do it. Hope this helps man

the manual says 44 ft.lbs. on the head bolts thats the 4 big ones the other 4 smaller ones are 24 seems all the others are 89 inch pounds the cams are set at tdc with the lopes facing away from each other, and you will see two alignment marks on the cam gears those should line up, you might know what happens if there to far off.

I think 89 inch pounds is about 7.5 foot lbs, but I might be wrong.
