Default 650 2 wheel to 4 wheel engagment problem

I was chugging through some pretty thick stuff on the weekend when all of a sudden felt like the front end was going to fall aparton my 650 ac pull it out of the sleugh and about 5 minutes later it seemed ok thought my belt maybe slipping but after going back in the ditch with waist high water in it it started again so I assumed it was from the water so I started to try and figure out what the problem was I came up with this solution theres a 2 wheel drive to 4 wheel drive box that engages the front end water was getting into it or something and making bad connection so the bike was going from 2 to 4 back and forth by itself know has anyone herd of this problem before. This comes at a bad time this saturday huge mud fest happening in ST-MALO MANITOBA and i might have to go on the powder puff it the dealer can,t put my machine in 4x4 for the weekend but one thing I think dealers should listen to the owners when they tell them where the problem is instead of looking elsewhere first and using up a whole week before deciding that the owner was right and also wasting a week of getting the proper parts in to fix problem SORRY GUYS BUT THIS IS JUST BURNING MY #%^(^&

Mine does that too.I thought it was the limited slip front end biting and slipping.Quite a shudder comes out of her.Anywho a buddy of mine with a P650 told me its the belt slipping,I only have a couple of hundred kms left till my second service so I am going to try and take it easy on her(yea, right)untill then, and the dealer can look after it.478 kms and no limp mode.

Tell me how the St. Malo ride is tomorrow. My friends are going but I live the way hell up here and can't make it down, even though my Praire is down there in my friends yard. Have fun.

I don't know what would cause this, my praire has never had a problem with the 4x4, post on the Kawasaki boards for more looks.

Brent... do you think this is because they are not engage 4wd early enough and it is not properly going in 4wd? Also how does their gear shifter adjustment work? The kawi belt will not slip if you are in low range under pressure or the actuator doesn't go to 2wd underwater.

WELL the st.malo run was a blast except for all the hidden bolders under the muck bent one rim i,ll hit it wiyh the 2x4 later to bring it back in place G oing back too my problem as we were running the derby I was experimenting to see what was the cause of the shudder i was getting I come to the conclusion that it is the belt I think anyways but I don,t understand this because I got a dalton mountain kit put in before I PUT on my big tires guess i,ll have to get that kit ckeck but you,d think that a kawi dealer would know what he was doing i,ll call him tommorrow plus i had the belt smokin when I got stuck on this huge rockfront wheels totally hanging in mid air and back tires in two foot ruts couldn,t get tires to spin thats when belt started smokin then pulled out the rope a griz a bomb and four guys to pull it outyou know i went through this derby in mostly two wheel drive because i thought my problem was thefront drive I even put it through this big water hole water over the handle bars but with the outlaws it stood at attention and went right through 3 times the guys on the grizzly,s would,t go in but my buddy with his 300 ac went in but didn,t quite make it but had to give an a for effort an a beer anyways i,ll see about the clutch this week and maybe i,ll need a new belt for much belt can you burn before you have to change it
