I keep seeing threads where people talk about Yamaha's specifically Warrior that break down all the time. I've had mine a couple of years and it's great..no problems. Is there anything I should look out for.

Warriors are great quads. I have a '95 that I bought new and have had to do nothing other than routine maintenance. One thing to look out for are loose bolts that hold the spindle on the rear axle, loose rear axle nuts and loose screws in general such as plastic, foot-pegs etc. All 3 Yamahas that I bought new needed tightening of these things. Make sure you do these things as not doing the spindle and axle nuts in particular will cost you money if you let them go.

Your not the only one with a blessed Warrior. I've had mine for 12 years and havn't had the cases open yet. Its stock except for the Cobra exhaust and Blackwater tires and maybe that's why its lasted so long. If you don't mod the engine to try to run with a Banshee, and do good maintence on it or any quad then it will last and last and last, just like that energizer bunny. HA!

I guess I left that part out. The only thing thats ever happened was that bolt came loose. It had already started backing out and hitting the sproket. I wasn't ridding it at the time. Luckly I saw it just in time. I really wasn't too concerned at the time because your supposed to check that kind of stuff on anything that flys through the air.

Warriors are great dependable bikes. I hear people talk about how good hondas are but they are no better than yamahas. I wish I could say that I've never had any problems but I run my bide very very hard and have tropys to show for it.the tranny tends to give you probles affer about 2 years of abuse(I realam hard on it) and the frame and swing arm are prone to cracking. someother things that are weak are the axle and steering stem. But in all thier great but when you race you are going to break something and if you dodn't you not trying hard enough to win.
