What other Quads do u have to...
#2
I'm not sure about quads, but my 02 GSXR 600 says run 92 octane. I read a huge article about higher octane fuels, and after I tried 87 octane. Turns out there's no spark knock, or pinging, and I get a little better fuel mileage. I wouldn't try it in a high compression motor, but with a faster burn time and cooler burning, and a cheaper price, I run 87 in all my stuff, except the LT500, which needs premium.

There is a reason not to run premium, its a waste of money if its not needed. And in stock form, most quads and just about every utility can run on regular. If you want to spend an extra 20 cents per gallon be my guest. But imo, gas prices are high enough.

I run 92 octane in my bike but I also use a fitch. Its a little divice that goes inside the gas tank and cleans the gas as it enters the carb. It gives you better fuel economy, quicker throttle responce, keeps the carbs clean, and most importantly raises the octane!
Before when I shaved the head 0.040 i was getting alot of detnotation and spark knock from it. Now with this it is 100% better because it increased the octane by almost 3 points. For 30 bucks and it will last a season its well worth it.
