What is the hot set up to remove the behemoth of a clutch perch / emergency brake perch on a 400ex? How do you wire the safety switch? I need a tethered kill switch for mx. What is the best model and how do you wire it on a 400ex with key and slide switch?

The MSR Raptor clutch lever is better than the PEP, as I learned in this forum earlier this year (after I got the PEP on my 250R). The MSR won't eat your cable like the PEP will.

Go buy a clutch lever/perch assembly, The PEP one's are really nice, and remove the old lever, and e-brake cable. You'll have to buy a block off plate for your caliper, but they're cheap, and you can get one anywhere. I think there is only one kill-switch manufacturer, Pro-design, and it's real easy to hook up. It simply grounds out your coil, so it would'nt matter if the key was on or not. Save all the old stuff, so when you sell it, you can put it all back to stock.

I believe that the wire that you wire the kill switch to is dark blue with a yellow stripe through it. It should be coming out of a box between your gas tank and fender on the left side as your sitting on it. Then i grounded it to one of my fender bolts using a loop connector. It works awesome, Pro Design is the best, and durable. Hope this helps.
