Default Sprocketts

I have read on here that a new sprocket(s) will help the top speed of a raptor(or any atv for that matter, but i am getting a raptor)
1. Does this mean that u have to change only 1 sprocket?
2. How much for a 14 tooth sprockett?
3. Do u have to have a new chain for the atv as well?
4. Can someone give me a rough price estimate on a new sprocket(or sprockets if more than 1 is needed) and a chain if it is needed?
thanks

1. You only have to change 1 sprocket if you want to. Front or rear, it doesnt matter. Its easier on the engine if you change the rear, but they are more expensive.
2. A front sprocket usually runs about 12-20 dollars.
3. You dont usually have to change the chain unless you go really high on the front, go really high on the rear, or if you increase the front and rear.
4. Front sprocket I already told you, rear runs around 40-50 bucks.

I had to get a new chain with a 14/41 setup. Remember, there is no master link in the stock chain.

if there is no master link in the stock chain, how do u take it off? Do u take the sprocket off with the chain attached, or do u have to cut it off ?

Release the tension in the rear axle carrier and then unbolt the front sprocket or remove the rear tire and unbolt the rear sprocket and you should be able to get it off without having to cut it off. If you are going to put new chain on, you can just hit it with a grinder or use a chain breaker.
