ATV Sport Magazine now says that the Raptor has
"slighty less power" than the Banshee. Pretty
disappointing for a 660cc engine. My 440 has
more than that. These means Raptor owners are
going to have to lay out the big 4-stroke mod
dollars to keep up with piped Banshees and
DS650's.

The raptor will still be all over that 440.

Everyone has their own opinions on power.

And every review i have read said it will beat all current production quads in a drag race.

We'll see about the Raptor being all over my 440.
My bike hangs with stock Banshees up Glamis Comp
Hill. Most of the time I beat them because they
back off over the whoops, while I'm WFO. That
Raptor better have good boinger's.

In the September issue of Dirt Wheels they didn't mention anything about less power. They are estimating a top speed of 75 mph which is about 11 mph than a stock 400EX.

I am a Honda guy but in my opinion, the 400EX can't hange with the Raptor. To be competitive it will take many $$$$ to make up for the 260cc advantage. Honda is going to have to release a new quad to get back on top.

Soon, the Raptor will climb on top as the premier sports quad.

The raptor is not fading, Atv Sport is the last Magazine in the world I would read. It is about the lowest quality magazine I ever laid eyes on. They must have gotten some advertising $$$ from someone besides yamaha. Its very fast, looks great, and its a Yamaha. If its a step up from the banshee you can bet its gonna be fast.

hey dune400EX did you read the article on here about the raptor? Because it said when the raptor and the banshee were drag racing and the raptor had a good start it always won. I'm not saying it won all the time though.

i think the raptor will be fast and all but doesn't impress me. i already turned one down for a 400ex. i read about a few problems with it also. and my final thought was the raptor will not have honda's durability.

Hey Dune400ex... let me know the next time you go to Glamis... I'll line up with you until you have had enough. Give me the time and the day and I'll be there. I'll even bring my stock pipes and silencers with me to swap out just for you.

Hey dune400ex so you had to dump all that money into your bike just to hang with a "stock" Banshee, lol, gimme a break, just slap on some pipes on a Banshee and its over for you. 400ex owners face it, the Raptor will whoop on you over and over again, it is the better bike.=)
