YFZ front sprocket
#6
So my guess is that the tolerances are so close that it probably depends more on
who makes the sproket. Since selector indicates he had to make some slight mods
while stevendsm95gst did not, it would be interesting to know who they bought
their sprokets from.
In my case, I went the other way. I'm running a 12 tooth front and a 42 tooth rear.
While the 12 tooth was no problem, the 42 tooth interfered with the plastic swing
arm guard. Given that plastic doesn't stop lava rock, this wasn't any big deal and we
have replaced them. What I did do was check to make sure that UM (the mfg that
I picked) had enough clearance for the larger rear sprokets.
I'd say go for it. My front sprokets only cost $7.00, so even if you had to throw them
away, you aren't out that much.
