WHAT IF ANY DO YOU GAIN WITH ADDING A END CAP OR SLIP ON . IS ONE BETTER THAN THE OTHER. DO YOU NEED TO REJET ?? WHAT BRAND ??LOOKING FOR SOME MORE POWER WITHOUT SPEEDING A TON OF CASH.

Well from doing some research on here you can see that the end cap is better than almost all slip ons. I am thinking you do have to jejet but the good thing about it is that when you order the end cap MR.Horsepower will send the correct jet to you. MR.HP's end cap has spent many hours on the dyno to make it well worth every penny just like any of his parts. If you are looking for more power you can get an end cap, ported intake, and a lectron 46hv carb and you can be producing 51+HP which will out perform some stage 2 DS's. If you don't need a spark arrestor go for the end cap and save some $$.

This site has both the MrHP end-cap and the new ModQuAD end-cap

Personally I like the machining of the ModQuAD over the MrHP and that is the one I plan on getting. It has identical internal dimensions to the dyno proven MrHP end-cap so I would not expect any performance difference. It is also $45 less. You will need to buy you own main jet (only a couple of bucks). Jetting instructions are listed on the site.

hey guys when you get the end cap do you need to change the jets? if so how much is that im not good with this stuff [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif[/img] also i just thought about it and i read something my plugs are black on the end with a tad of white is that a bad sign bike seems to ride fine but this is also the only quad ive ever ridden pm me please for the answers thanks guys

 

Go with the MrHp, its cost more. But you are paying for his expertise, and his dyno time, and his jetting.Its cheaper if you let someone spend thier money on the dynop and time for development. It comes with his backing when you have tuning questions.
As far as the sound goes. There arent many DS's in this area, but mine sounds wicked! When you first fire it up, I promise that you will smile. Then when you smack the gas you will really smile. I like the finish on the Mrhp endcap better. I have some pics of my 04 X with the end cap on it, and I will try to get a chance to post the later tonight. If you notice everyone says "Just like MrHp's End Cap " when talking about the mod quad. I dont know how their customer service is but it would be hard to be just like Eric. After you call him a couple of times for questions and tips you will know what I mean. The only slip on that comes close the mrhp's endcap is the HMF which
he will also vouch for.
