Two questions: Starter problems, and DS Shop question
#1
My ds is having issues with the starter....before my last trip the battery was basically dead...but after jumping it twice (yes i learned that isnt good for the ds..) the battery seemed to come back to life. When we got to silver lake i was having issues with the starter. It seemed to have an odd almost grinding noise coming out of it. (dont know if its in the starting motor itself or inside the engine) it also would keep spinning over even after the button was let off (had to use the kill switch to get the starter to stop spinning [this only happened twice and hasnt happened since] Another thing that would happen was it would try to start, seem like it would get close to combustion but then the starter would die, and there was a really loud snap (like a metal against metal horrible noise) it seems to start up really quick since the jetting is pretty close here.... but im worried that once we get out to utah and the jetting isnt spot on it wont want to start.... (problems are even worse when i actually have to crank on it to get the thing running)
I think im gonna run to my local Yammy shop (i trust these guys with my quad and they also give a lot of free help and wont just take ur quad and charge u for dumb stuff that didnt need to be done)
The closest bomb dealership is about 50 mins...and they are a group of total hillbilly A$$es..... (really rude, and charge a boat load of money for work that should cost half of what it does)
Im thinking if the yammy shop cant figure out my problems i will run to aero PA which is a little over an hour (never been there before so ill just hope they are better than this other place)
the thing im wondering is that ive heard bomb dealerships put back all the warning decals/stickers back on the plastics if they do work... is this true? (i spent a LOT of time using adhesive remover trying to get the leftovers from the stock decals)
let me know what you guys think

sounds like your sprag clutch is going out- not very common but I lost mine- if that is indeed the problem you'll be spending around $500 to get the parts in and repaired. Are you going to do the work yourself?
