I just put some RWR 60%( I ordered the 40% springs but they substituted the 60s because they were out of stock ) stiffer springs in my DS and they seem really stiff, the lever pull is substantially harder than stock. The girlfriend is not even sure she'll be able to ride it...

You could stagger them with the stock springs, half stock half 60%

I hope you GREASED the spline and clutch actuator shaft. I didn't the first time, pull was pretty heavy and ended up breaking a tooth off of it. After GREASING it I couldn't tell them from the stockers!!!!

When I changed mine out I didn't notice a Huge change, Maybe a little stiffer but not too bad. Maybe you didn't get thing aligned quite right?

It went together fairly easy and I did grease it as the manual states. I had to adjust the position of the clutch release shaft arm after I installed the cover because it didn't sit right. I took it for a ride, seems ok..

He probably means the shaft that you had to adjust. Have you lubed your cable recently. That makes a big difference. Yes the pull will be quite a bit stiffer, but it shouldn't bother you once you get to riding it. It is scary to go and ride another quad after the stiffer springs, most others are a lot lighter pull.
