Think before you type. And research.
You just made yourself look like a moron. If you know anything about the raptor. Which apperantly you don't. It has a totally new Airbox design and the Chain Adjustment is new.
And i really doubt the 2 other problems you listed.
Once again..THINK before you type

What's your problem lately? Are you the same Aaron that I talked with in private a while back, that had a Trailblazer?
Anyhow.... Take a quick look at a Banshee and a Raptor (all the pics you need are on Yamaha's website, although Yamaha and the mags (who are fed by Yamaha) may say those 2 items are of all new design, they are deeply rooted in the old ways of the Banshee, what a shame, have they learned nothing?

from what i read, it is pretty much the same air box setup! Was anyone else pissed about the quote in Atv Connection's story about the Raptor. "Yamaha press release: ...Yamaha the leader in the atv sport industry...." that totally pissed me off! Honda is hands down, always has, always will. Yamaha had some nerve to say that if you ask me.

From what I have heard Yamaha has had the title of the leader of the industry in sport quads. And you also have to take into consideration a press release is going to be talking about STOCK quads! Mods dont come into play when the press and stuff like that make a report as they did. Yamaha's Wolverine, Banshee, Warrior, Blaster, and now Raptor does cover a lot more area's of rider's than any other company. But besides the 250R what are you talking about by saying that Honda is the best company for quads? The 400ex just doesnt have the BIG power hype everyone was saying it did. It does wheelies and does good on MX tracks. The 300ex IS nimble but again the power issue. But all you people before you start getting all defensive and stuff need to realize that these moron reporters are talkig about STOCK bikes. Mods boost all these bikes into WAY different categories!

That was me. I have been snapping at some people on the board..but thats not saying they don't deserve it.
But yet. Everything i've read said there is no possible way to mess up the air box lid like on a banshee. i would quote of 4-wheel ATV action but i don't have the issue handy.

The Raptor will not be indestructible. The 400ex or any other ATV is not indestructible..I have read a lot of "trouble" posts in this forum and have had personal troubles with the 400ex that I sold. It was still a good ATV....but it was not perfect.
