Default Trailblazer cylinder

What yrs of cylinders will fit my 2001 Trailblazer 250.Mine is starting to get some piston slap and I would like to have a spare to take on our next trip to Badlands.Just in case this one goes all the way out. I check Partsland and there is a number change on the 2001-up wonder if an older one will work. And what piston(brand)should I use?

From what I know the cyclender for the 250 are the same for all the years. The earlyer one made more power. Use a wisco piston.

You can use any of them x-scrambler, but the injection nozzle was in the intake port of the cylinder on earlier years (I'm thinking) and actually in the carb on the later years. Brad, if your injection nozzle is in the carb, then you can use the older style jugs too. You would only need to pull the injector nozzle out of the intake port, then tap it with a 5/16-24 tap (no drilling required) and use a short bolt with some loctite on it. That's how I've done away with the injection on a couple of them. The 250's dont have the piston problem like the 400's, but I would still use a better than stock one in it. Bubba
