Default Grinding Factory welds...

I have seen in many post say to gring the facrory wels in the stock header on a 400ex. Where are the welds at? I know inside but on the front where it connects to the engine?

remove the silencer. then take the 4 nuts off the studs holding the header to the engine. when you get the header off, you will see weld beads inside both headers. you can just take a dremel or something equivalent and go to town.

i have to agree with sickmojave. bead welds, unless they stick out an inch, and are 2 inches wide, are not going to affect flow. the welds r there for a reason and won't cause ne harm. honda's generally have pretty good stock exhausts, so grinding out a few little bead welds on the inside of the header isn't worth the trouble because u will gain nothing from it.
