hey guys, well i've got a 02 300ex for my girlfriend and for the past month or two have been upgrading the suspension, and it's almost done now, i sent the swingarm off and got it lengthened for $150, got a set of 250 a arms off ebay for $95 total, a set of raptor shocks off ebay for the front end $50 total, new std chain $38, axle seals $15, and am ditching the doughnut rear tires for a set of turf tamers $80?. i also had to machine some bushings for the a arms and fabbed up a custom full exhaust.
so i was wondering if anyone out there has done the suspension upgrade, and how much of an improvement in ride quality she's gonna see, we'lll be riding some trails for the summer and back to the dunes for the winter, we rode up at glamis twice so far with it and the thing ran great and has decent power for the riding so far but seriously lacked in the suspension department, with the +3 swingarm and the +2 set of a arms i think it'll get around 8" of travel in the front and i'm not sure how much in the rear.
