Im going to jb weld my oil tank what steps do i need to take to ensure that it has the best chance of working/? do i need to sand the area with a rough finish?? do i need to clean it with a degreaser//im assuimg yes but tell me whats up thanks

You need to clean the crap out of it first. Sanding wouldn't hurt either. Let it set up for a few days before use. Good Luck.

 

dont use the quick weld. It doesnt hold up as well.

yeh clean it really good after sanding it i have had good luck with that stuff but yeh i would recommend letting it sit for a good 24

 

Yeah, that JB weld works really sweet. Patched a hole no problem in my radiator. The only problem I found is that when you don't let the stuff thicken enough, it doesn't stay really well where you want it.
