well i got a deal on a 200x and the lady told me her son blew the engine and had gotten a new one off of ebay it just needed to be intalled so i switch engines and reconnect everything but when i tried to kickstart it nothing i don't know much about these atc enginesbut any help is apreicated

Do you have spark? are you getting fuel?

 

Have to ask,but are you getting the basics? Fuel,spark,compression? Switch is to "run"??

 

ok today i pulled the spark plug and i have spark it seems to be getting fuel because when i was kicking it to check for spark i smeeled gas from the spark plug hole and the switch is in run postion i kick it it seems like it's gonna start but doesn't

 

if everything else seems to check out I would check to make sure the timing is right. And make sure the carb is set right.

 

Check the valve clearance, .003 in.
Compression 156 psi +- 14 psi
Plug gap .024- .028 in
Do not just asume you have fuel. Check the filter in the petcock. You may also want to pull off the fuel bowl to see if there is any varnish in there.

 

ok how do i check the timing i know how to chevk it on a car but.........i have a manual i guess i should open it up and read insted of bothering you guys with my problems thanks for the input fellas
