Hey yall i took the scrammy over to a mx park and was riding this weekend....right at the end all of a sudden it started popping out of gear. Not just when was jumping...Any ideas?????????????????????

 

Did you check the linkage? If its not the linkage, then it sounds like something internal[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-frown.gif[/img]

 

Well i looked at the linkage everything seems there. havent check to see if any bolts are loose but im thinking is internal too.

 

Sounds like the shft fork in the tranny,it is probably flared open.

 

Whats the easiest way to get too it ced?

 

You will have to split the tranny,it really isn't that hard.Split it and take a look inside.Try everything else first.

 

Before jumping into your tranny check the "bell crank" where the linkage hooks up to.They strip out and can cause this too by not letting it shift all the way into gear.

Mine is having the same problem., but only sometimes. It only happens when i get about half way up the hill ( this is at comp hill at the dunes ). I checked all the linkage and looks like i am going inside. This all happened when i took out reverse gear. Hope it is not related anyhow. Well see
