Default '01 Xplorer 400

Hey everyone,

I have an opportunity to buy a 2001 Xplorer 400 4x4 with 1800 miles on it. It's in very good shape with a Warn winch and speedo. Is there anything I would need to worry about on this model year of quads? (i.e. known issues) Or is this a pretty reliable quad? I will mainly be doing trailriding, some yardwork and plowing snow with it.

Thanks.

I bought it and I'm picking it up today. Thanks for your opinions. These forums have been a great help to me.

Congrats on the 400.Now you need to get a service manual to really get to know your machine. One word for the wise check the counter balance often and change it EVERY time you get into water.

Thanks for the tips. I'll keep them in mind. A service manual was included with the quad and the manual looks almost brand new so hopefully that's a good sign. Thanks again everyone.
