Put new piston and rings on 250es, first time, how do I set the cam compared to the cylinder and also where could I get a schematic of the head bolts to see how they all go.....

 

well on my 200m, there is a little "o" on the timing gear on the cam shaft, and there is a little line on the gear thingy that the recoil starter hooks onto to crank the engine..I get the little line inline with the top left hand bolt hole for the recoil starter, (Top dead center, another words, piston is at the absolute top of the cylinder) and the little "o" on the gear inline with the top of the generater base, there is a little notch on mine, i dont know if there is on yours, but it should be pointing straight up, the camshaft sproket on mine cam be bolted on two ways, only one works, you'll have to figure out which way works for you though, hope this helps somewhat[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]
