how do you track the hours ridden?

Default how do you track the hours ridden?

had my raptor for a few weeks now and just wondered how everyone keeps track of the hours the engine has been run?

gonna change the oil/filter after riding this weekend...anything special I need to be concerned with?

oil brand?
filter?

any brand better than others/brands not to get?

trail tec makes a meter that does you speed and its an hour counter its under 100 dollars

Default how do you track the hours ridden?

Just run Factory Yamalube like a 20w 40 the API SJ. Use Factory Oil Filter also...i have heard from my dealership that if you do not use the factory Yamalube oil, it can actually void my warranty...LOL.

i dont think it will void the warranty it would be very hard to prove you werent runing yama lube

Default how do you track the hours ridden?

depending on the size of your gas tank, you usually go about 4-5 hrs per tank. That's about the easiest way to keep track...

Tell your dealer this practice is illegal. Yamaha makes an hour meter for like $40. Check it out under atv accessories at Yamahas web site. www.yamaha-motors.com
