Year end discount?

I'm considering the purchase of a new 2004 Yamaha Kodiak 400 or Kodiak 450. The 2005 models now have independent rear suspension and a couple of other minor changes. The 2005 MSRP's are the same as the 2004 MSRP's . How much discount should I be able to negotiate with a dealer? My local dealer tries to sell his products at MSRP + a set up fee. No way will I pay this. I'm thinking about $1000 less than the MSRP out the door.
I'm also considering a 675 mile trip from Nebrasaka to Abernathy's in Union, TN. They have some mighty low prices. About $1000 of the MSRP on the 2004's. I'd drive that far to save $1000.

I just bought a 05 Grizzly. From what I found, dealers are knocking off about $800-1000 MSRP and then adding a setup fee, title, tax, and processing. I couldve got a 04 grizz for $6521 otd. I got a 05 from another dealer for $6900 otd. I would ve went for the 04 but the other dealer was a p***K. It was worth $400 knowing I didnt make that b*st*rd one penny of profit. Plus, I got a 05 that according to him hadnt been released yet.
