raced a scramler 400 stock...
the race strated at 5 mph so no clutch dump
only fast shifting for me ... im god at this
i gave him half sec to start cuz im a ds650
passed him only at 50-60?? its ok ?

 

if the scrambler sounded like a two stroke, it probably wasn't stock. You have to listen a little closer to a stock 400 to tell its a two stroke. I know a fresh, tuned stock 400 can't take a stock raptor of ds in a drag race, unless the raptor/ds had some sort of problem.

I've owned and ridden mod'd 400's that would destroy a stock ds or raptor in a drag race, however, take the race to an area requiring suspension and they quickly fall to the back of the pack.

Keep in mind, if you didn't downshift at the start of the race, you probably launched soft, giving the 400 a second or two advantage. I guarentee the 400 downshifted, because thats the way its designed.

A Polaris is much quicker 0-30 than 30-60. (much like the V-force). Where a DS will pull 4th & 5th like it does 1st & 2nd. The 400L is a mean motor even if it is in a concrete filled frame. It's hard to tell what mods he really might have had too, clutch & all.

top speed is probably low 60's. Maybe mid for the 400...
