Warrior or 300ex?!?
#1
I am 17 Years old, 5' 11" and 165 lbs. I have been riding for 2 years now I had a '85 Honda TRX 125 and i just sold it (I kinda got to big for it). I am looking for a new quad ('99 or 2000) but dont know which one. I know that Hondas will last forever and dont know about Yamaha (never had one). I have ridin my cousins '98 300EX and loved it and seems to fit me good. I would be mostly riding trails, sometimes sandpits, and if it rains mud(not really deep mud).

I used to ride a TRX125. When i got to big for it i got a 300ex and i like it more than the Warrior. If you are planing on maintaning it it is a lot like the TRX125. But if you want a lot of power and speed over hadling and and jumping then the Warrior might be better.

I think I might go with the 300EX because I had a good experience with Honda (with my TRX 125). I was looking into the 400EX before, but the only thing is that it doesnt have reverse. You dont really need it but it is good to have when you need it. Another reason is I dont have enough $$ for the 400EX. Thanks Fast_&_Red for replying

You should definatly get a warrior. They have a motor that is much more powerful. They both have reverse, but the reverse on the warrior it much more easy to use. The 300ex suspension is better than the warriors, but the warrior suspension is also good. I am 240 pounds and I have never bottomed out, and I go off some pretty big jumps. You may feel a little cramped on the 300ex at 5'11 I am pretty cramped on it, but i am 6'3. I think the warrior is a much better choice for you than the 300ex, no question about it
