THERES OIL GUSHING OUT ONTO MY LEG!!

k in the mourning my mojave had showed that it was low. like 1/4 of the looking glass was full not even.i had recently switched to synthetic an thought maby it burnt some so... i added about half a liter wich brought it up to the 3/4 full mark on the looking glass. after riding for and our its pouring out my crankcase breather and ont my leg and the glass was tatally full. what the hell? how am i suposed to know when the oil is full or not. i only rode for about and hour, could things have gone bad. i will have to change the oil though cause it might have foamed right?

yeah, when you overfill its very likey to foam over...happened to my friends transmission on his truck...like 1/4 inch past full mark, tranny foamed up and seized[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif[/img]...the oil coming out was probally the excess oil in the crankcase trying to go somewhere....just my .02 c

If you look into the little "looking glass" when the motor is running then it will look like it is empty. Thats because when the tranny is moving it sturs up the oil and it is splashing around.
What you should do is, drain all the oil out and put in the exact amount only... let it sit somewhere for a day and check to see if any oil has leaked out or not...If no oil has come out then it is in there somewhere even if it dosn't appear to be in the window..

thanks guys i routed the crankcase up by the gas tank instead and i took out the oil and measured it and put back in what ther was and it was fine. whatever came out was to much im guessing i over filled it about half a cup. thanks anywasy. stupid me. anyways thanks. isnt it funny how you get responses after youve fixed the problem?
