Default Gushing Oil

Can someone please help me? I have recently purchased a new atv which I wanted to check the oil level on. I did check the level and it seemed low. We went for a ride and came back. Lef tit over night and went to check it again. When we unscrewed the dipstick oil gushed out, and everythim we try to check it the same thing happens. It is like there is pressure pushing it out, even thought the engine is not running. I don't think these bikes have oil filters, but I am obviousley doing something wrong. Can anyone help?

It would really help if we knew what ATV you have.

It is an Orion (Chinese model), 150cc. They are becoming very popular in NZ.

Welcome to the forum Rfur!

Did you change the oil when you got the quad? It seems to me that there is too much oil in it. Or atleast there was. Does it gush oil everytime you open it or just that one time?

Check your owners manual on the proper way to check your oil. If it has a dry sump system you may have to check after it is started and ran. some of them have some strange ways to check.

What Tork said. If it has a dry sump it's going to be totally different to check.
