I recently saw an advertizement in the bargain finder from a polaris dealer that mentioned something about a new sportsman 400! hopefully it will have rear IRS like the others in the sportsman family, and the awsome 400cc 2-stroke!
Anyone else hear anything about this? What form do you think(or hope) this new machine will take.

 

Probably a bored out 335 with a counter balanced engine.

Are you hoping for a tricked out Xplorer/Sportsman 400 like they used to have? Maybe with the Remington/ Ducks Unlimited finish? Equipped with 25" Mudrunners as standard equipment with a winch and rack extensions?

 

it was prabally a mid-90's sportsman before the 500's came out.they were 2-strokes, the new 400 will replace the 335 but its a four stroke.if u want a 400 2-stroke get a xplorer 400, 2001 is there last year.

I was hopeing for a two stroke.I would think they would have used the 425 mag. moter

 

If it would be a two-stroke that would be awsome. I owned a 96 Sportsman 400 4x4 and it was an a** hauler. It was quick, pulled very very good, very reliable and got me trough the mess a lot of other people couldn't. If they came out with a two-stroke 400 in the Sportsman class I would buy it if I had the money.
