top end maybe.....

Default top end maybe.....

i have a problem i was rideing one day and it felt like my throtal was sticking but then i looked down and at the top left screw (the screw that holds that top end on) on the top end was leaking oil or something does this mean i blew my top end i need help fast

Default top end maybe.....

umm.. missing screws is bad.. i dont know if u ruined ur top end. open it up and check and see if the piston is fried .. let us know..

Default top end maybe.....

A compression tester is one of the best tools you can buy for your garage....You can get one at sears or any auto parts place for under $20. No more guessing on top ends.

Default top end maybe.....

the screw is notmissing just oil or something leaking out of the top end.............what would a fried piston look like?

Default top end maybe.....

If there is oil or any liquid seaping around the top end then you have low compression.


A toasted piston can look hundreds of different ways, from gouges in the sidwalls, holes, cracks..etc. If the piston is intact...the onlyway is to measure it with some calipers. Then measure the bore of the cylinder....then check the rings and end gap.

But like I said above....compression test.
