Well, i just uploaded my spark plug picture into my page might take a bit....

I just put a new jet needle and seat it in...ran it WOT then killed it...check the plug.....electrode white as ash, and outsides black[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif[/img].....

So, i turned the gas/air mixture screw out 1 turn, and now it looks like ok..some what rich maybe...i dunno

What do you guys think??

 

Kinda hard to tell with the pic provided. You need to be able to see down inside the plug around the electrode to know for sure, just reading the top of the plug is probably the most common mistake most people make when reading plugs.

 

If this plug is out of the trike that has the fresh rebuild, and the blue smoke give it a little more breakin time, from what i can see on the plug it looks like carbon, which could be from you burning oil because your rings are not fully seated.

 

Well, the plug is now white..the electrode is completely white down into as far as i can see, and it has some tan around the top....also, at idol and sometimes when im riding i cant hear a faint knocking type of sound....could this be from over heating???

Also, i run DR8ES-L for a plug...which plug would i go to for a cooler type...DR7ES-L??

The DR7 is hotter than the DR8....higher # is colder

 

lol thx[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif[/img]..wasnt to sure....well i pulled my plug again, and it looks good...i guess i didnt run it enough with the exhuast pipe fixed to get a more accurate measure.......now its all tan..touch rich, but its better than before...pitch black[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]
