Default Yamaha blaster Top end

My 2000 blaster piston was slapping a bit, so I took off the top end. The berring on the Ris Pin was loose in the connecting rod??? Is this normal. The piston could move from side to side with the cylendar off (1/2") from side to side. This seemed to be the cause of the noise.

ANY IDEAS?

1/2 inch, holy crap no you need a new bearing. that's not good, how long has it been doing it?
If it has been going on for a while I would suggest a new piston and rings if the compression isn't to horrible. Do a check.

the pin and bearing should float in the rod eye, but they shouldnt be 'loose'
sounds like its time for piston and rings
