The Warrior is a little heavy. It doesn't handle as well as some of the newer sport quads. (It's harder to move around on it because of the seat to foot peg setup and lower seat.) It's kind of a cruiser. The Warrior has been out for a long time. For what it is, I think it's a good quad. There are better and worst quads out there. I enjoyed riding my Warrior.

Just blew the engine in my TB and decided to trade it in for the warrior and it was on of the best decisions I have ever made. I mainly use it for trail riding and racing with my friends. The only downside is that it is really uncomfortable to stand up.

Warriors are great machines ... some people say they're not comfortable and ride like tanks .. mine rides very good for me. I've got my suspension set very soft, which is good for trailing, not so good for jumping
They have decent power and are reasonably fast with a top speed somewhere in the 60-63mph range depending on conditions and rider weight. They are also great hill climbers with respect to uphill stability due to the heavier front end.
I have to agree in part with reconranger in that there are several better choices out there for sport bikes with my personal favourite being the Z-400. But of course, those machines which are better than the Warrior are more often than not significantly more expensive. If I was buying a bike today instead of last year I'd be looking harder, but it's still difficult to justify an extra 2k+ for a Z400 which in terms of speed tops the warrior by 8mph or so?? Handles and accelerates heaps better, but for my riding style and abilities the Warrior suits me fine and would probably be my choice again.
Good luck and have fun with whatever you get!!

Warriors are fun and reliable.
Sure you are not going to get that new age performance like you would from a Z400 or something, but they are also not as bad as everyone has "suddenly" made them out to be. Before the new quad boom happened sport guys praised the Warrior for it's potential.
And if your short like me (5-8) you won't really notice the supposedly horrid seating position.
What really holds the Warrior back IMO is the suspension. However, since the Warrior is also one of the cheapest and plentyful quads out there on the used market you can pick and choose and get a great deal. You can get one cheap enough where it's still worth going out and dropping $500-700 on some works suspension all around.
And there are also tons of mods out there still for the old Warrior.
