What is this big rush about the side by sides all of a sudden? I didn't think there was that big a 'calling' for them.
I just saw an episode of ATV TV and old Doug really liked the Yamaha Rhino. He just gushed all over it, and gave short shrift to the Kawi and the Polaris (especially the Kawi!).
Aside from maybe hunting, and of course around the farm or ranch, I'm not that interested in them. How long before we see a side by side from Jackel, EWMD, Sunnerelectric, etc?

i dunno what the wow is with the side by sides lately either except they are a ton of fun to go driving around with my buddy has a ranger and we put a stereo and speakers in it and we have a blast but i know at polaris the D line can't hardly keep up (thats the line that makes the rangers and 6x6's) but for the price wow that is alot of money but polaris is gonna have the 700 with an independent in there new ranger so we will see how that turns out but the rhino is still my pick

My neighbor across the street just bought a Rhino, and OF COURSE he loves it. He says it's a goat, and last weekend he scared the crap out of himself (and his rider) as they assaulted some really steep hills. Finally he had to back down one (for lack of any room to turn around) and said THAT was the scariest part of the whole day. Says he likes the idea of a "roll bar"...
He also added that the front end is light and at the top of the hill he had to back down he was scared the thing might lift off in front and roll back over on him. Not for me.

I think the idea of a super-capable, factory built, highly reliable, side by side machine is a great idea. You know that the evolution of them will bring more power, better suspension, lower prices, etc... soon we'll see a replacement for the Suzuki Samurai, the current smallest street legal serious off roader. Maybe even street legality of some of the side by side machines. That AC looks pretty cool, IMHO. I think more variety, the better. "If you build it, they will come..."

My neighbor loves to quad ride...his wife doesn't. The only way he could get her to go is to buy a side-by-side (Polaris Ranger). Now she goes along and enjoys herself. Another neighbor also had the same problem, and the same solution. My wife doesn't like to ride either, but I'm not going to spend $10K for a Ranger. To each his own. Although they are not what I happen to be interested in, I'm impressed with the ability of the side-by-sides, save for those low over hangs. I'm sure there are other reasons for having a side-by-side, but doing things as a family is a pretty good reason. My son likes to ride, but for family things, well, we do other things.
