Not sure if a skid Plate can be put on Swing arm for an 91' LT250R
#1
Hello, i'm pretty much a newbie when it comes to any of this ATV stuff so please bare with me. I recently bought a 91' LT250R and i would like to put a swing arm skid plate on it. The problem is from all the pictures i have seen on the net i am not sure if my swing arm is capable of holding one. It has a sticker along the right side that says full floater in yellow letters. But i don't see anywhere that would allow for the skid plate to attach. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
Here is the bike i own.

im not shure but i have a 1990 lt250r and i have a skid plate o the swing arm i dont think the swingarms changed those years i think u might have to drill it out or look under neath the sa{swing arm}towards the back and there should be holes for one it might have bolt on it allready so take those off and bolt the skid plate in there.ok! also where it says full floater thats the name of the suspension design they used

I have the Armadillo skid on my 87 and they are the same as the 91. You can get them cheap on ebya or rocky mountain atv. Nice heavy duty jobs, 1/4" aluminum construction.

Thanks cdalekid, i wasn't sure if i had to drill my own holes. I was looking at an armadillo on ebay and i saw that it bolted to the swing arm on the sides not from the bottom. So i freaked out and wanted to make sure i didn't buy something i wasn't going to be able to use.
This is totally off the subject and if i don't get any replies i will make a new thread, but after my first ride i left the quad in the garage with the gas off, yet i seem to be leaking gas out of the carburator, on the bottom left hand side, i have some kind of drainage tube attached to it. Do you think i need to buy new seals or gaskets for the card, or that is normal for a quad of its age. Well again thanks everyone that responded i left this posted last night and i didn't think anyone would answer. Oh and i'll be in Vegas this Sunday, but not quad riding stricly r and r.
