Default z400 front sprocket

I have 2 questions. 1 is th e stock front sprocket on a 04 z400 a 14 tooth or 13 tooth? And 2 if i drop one tooth up front will that help for trail riding? I think it is geared a little high for just lugging around on tight trails. (also will that help to blip the gas to get the front up a little easier? THANKS

Stock gearing is 14-40. Going down to 13 would help to lug in the trails and would also help getting the front end up.

I changed my gearing to 13/41 and now its like a dirt bike lol I like it for dragging but as far as trail ridding I'm still not sure yet.
I used to could ride a wheelie for days with the stock gearing but once I changed it I went to ride a wheelie and busted my butt.
Big difference and some time to get used too.
