Default Baja CDI on a regular DS

I have heard that they give an extra 1000 rpm's, I am buying one and wanted to know from those that have them does it make that much of a difference ? I deffinitely like haveing the rev limiter as opposed to a cdi without one, but am I going to notice anything by adding the 1000 rpm's instead of going with a more expensive model with multiple presets ? Thanks for any input.

The Pro Com has a rev limiter, and about 1000 extra rpm. They were on Ebay for $99, and they advertise on here for $119, I believe. I got one, I don't hit the rev limiter any more, and I have an X, so it is definetly higher than the Baja CDI.

the baja cdi has an extra 200 rpm's over the stock one, not 1000. your better of with an aftermarket one, there are sevral that come with rev limits.

Cain, your 04 has the same cdi as the baja's, rev limit sat at 7900 rpms.
