What happened to the "Whats in your garage" thread that has existed for about two years?

So I wanted to see what the new posts were in the “What’s in your garage” thread this morning, and it was gone. Why in the world would a thread disappear after two or more years? I mean, if it was going to disappear, then wouldn't it have been a little more intelligent to remove it when it was FIRST posted, in 2002!!! (I'm guessing on the 2002 part, I know it is OLD!)
If someone at the very end posted something that the moderators didn't like, why not remove that post, not the entire thread; that is really a bad idea.
Hopefully the thread will magically re-appear, like lucky charms since they are magically delicious.

It seems to me to have one thread such as that where people can post that sort of thing is a good 'single' place to go to. That way you don't get a million threads, but one that lingers for a while and the little people can discuss the junk they have laying around. Imagine all of the threads that WERE NOT posted due to that thread being there. There can be a positive light to things that at first seem not so good.

That's crap.
I never look at the "WANTED" stuff. It a free for all there. Nothing dedicated to one type/ brand. I always look at the "What's in your garage" post. It is mainly Bombardier stuff in our section with the occasional dip that wants to buy/sell some other brand.
It is a very effective post. More so than the wanted section
IMO

It lasted for so long because of the wording of what is in your garage without coming out & stating it. But I think some of the newer forums member didn't catch on & started stating about buy/selling which is a no no on the forums. I'm sad that it is gone! I don't think starting a new one would work.

Usually I am always consistent on the forum rules and I do remember this thread when it was started.
I started reading and knew it should be tossed but then I saw there were moderators in the thread and at that point I paid no more attention to the thread and the posts there after.
I have to assume that since this has went on for so long and is bumped up enough that Dave has had to have seen this thread but http://classifieds.atvconnection.com was set up for this purpose instead of having the forums cluttered with ads.
I know why it was tossed but that is neither here nor there but if I see any other threads posted other than the one we are referring to, more than likely it will disappear.
