Default please look at the pic of my plug

it is on my page and was taken after I went riding for a few hours after changing my jets to dj 170/175 w/no lid

does it look OK?

or is it a bad pic?

I have no idea what to look for other than if its all black its too rich or fouled and if its white its too lean.....??????

the pic was taken cold.....does that matter????

trying to be right with my raptor, don't want her mistreated.....

You are waay rich, those deposits on the bottom of the threads are unburned fuel. When I ran a Yoshi and stock motor, I used DJ 146/148 with no lid at sea level. When it's jetted right, you should not have any or very little color on the porcelain and the bottom of the plug should be light tan. You can also look inside the plug where the porcelain meets the metal to read the color but the bottom is easier to see without a magnifying glass.

YA looks rich! kinda shiny mine usally look pretty neutral .
I run 170/175 mikuni , needles in the 4th groove , Arent DJ jet running on a larger scale??
Start out with a new plug and let it warm up good before you go out and flog it .
Then take anotehr look at your plug

DJ flows more at the same number. A DJ 170 flows much more than a mikuni 170. The needles also flow more.

I think it looks OK to me, not jetted perfect... but I do see some copper color on that with a little bit of black. Maybe down a jetsize, but I ussually play it safe, better rich then lean. How does it run right now?

i had 148/150 but it just didnt have the midrange/top end ,in 4th, and 5th stayed even with stock 03 raptor

ran fine, just surprised I couldnt pull away from stock raptor...had a 2-3 bike lead after 1st 3 gears....then even

runs fine now....definately feels better at wot...I will tinker with it later still need to get a top speed measurement

maybe I will move clip to 3rd and see how that is

believe it or not....my pic of my plug at 148/150 looks the same except the porcelain was a tad lighter
