Kodiak 400 4x4 Auto - the 4x light does not light . . .
#1
Has anybody else had this problem on a Kodiak?
When I push the botton for the 4-wheel drive on my Kodiak I can hear the servo turn-on, but the 4X4 light does not.
I have tried turning the handle-bars back and forth and driving the quad. I think that the 4x is engaged OK and that
it is just the light that is not working. I checked the bulb and the fuse and both are OK. How do I check the sensor?
Any help would be appreciated.

Right on the servo motor you will see a metal ****, looks like a small grease nipple. This is the sensor for your light, and if you see the nipple, it means the wire has worked loose. You should see it hanging close by. Just push it back on firmly, and maybe tape it down well. This happened to me.

Snappynuts,
This was EXACTLY what happened. I had to remove the skid plate before I could see it. It looks like a grease nipple. Everything is working fine now that the wire was re-attached. Thanks for the reply.

hahahaha, mine was a bit easier to fix considering that I tore my skid plate off about 6 months ago on a big rock and havn't replaced it since. My bike is BEAT so bad there is no way I can sell it.
