I was just wondering about this and thought i would get your guys opinion. Will kawasaki come out with a new and better quad next year, i mean i would like to see something new from kawaski. They need a good high performance machine to come out. just thought i would see what you thought.

Well, as many of us on this board were led to believe we expected a new high performance green machine to be a late arrival for the 2001 model year. Though we Kawasaki devotees continue to I'm sure hold out hope-after all we still remain true despite no new high performance machine since the late great Tecate-4. It appears that all hopes are dashed at this point. While I fully expect all of the manufacturers-Suzuki included-to get involved once again in the high-po wars many of us I'm sure-myself certainly, won't wait for 2002 to buy our next quad. I only hope the Cannondale is released so I can compare it directly to the Raptor before my money burns a hole in my pocket. If and when Kawasaki joins the fray it will likely join a 2001 model in my stable.-Keith

Don't know about a racer, but rumours has a new big bore 4x4 coming out.

I am Friends with a certain Kawasaki Factory Rider I am not saying which one of the three he is but if I were you I would not be holding my breath for the KXF250 maybe you should think along the lines of a new four stroke that is all I have to say.

Yeah, the ride report on the KXF250-02 were a little dissappointing. It seems that it is just a Doug Roll chassis with a Kawasaki motor in it. I was under the impression that Team Green had a lot more into it than that. Also, the interview with that Kawi exec absolutely smashed any hopes(for me anyhow) for a hi-po machine.

Yeah just what they need, another 4X4. I scares me to think the same company that makes great motocross bikes, won't make a new sport quad.

You guys kill me! How many Honda 250Rs do you think are really 250R Chassis that the pros are riding??? Bill Balance is on a 250R, but the chassis is made by LSR the motor is done by Duncan Racing and it is not a 250 and he is not using stock shocks from the 80's . These guys are pros and ride only the best equipment. Do you think you can buy the same car Dale Earnhardt drives on Sunday? It may look like it on the outside but under the skin it is completely different the same goes for the pro riders in the GNCC So Yokley Riding a Roll Design Chassis is not uncommon. Next time you are at a GNCC race stop buy the pro pits and see if you can find out how many of the pros are not riding aftermarket chassis??? One of the only Pros I know of riding a stock Chassis is Steven Holbert on his 400EX. Kawasaki will have a new quad look for some kind of announcement in late September or October.

You dont understand what ridzhard was saying. If I take it right, he figured the whole bike, although a 100% race bike, was built by Kawa for testing a possible frame design that may make it into production someday, not just an aftermarket frame with a kx-motor stuffed in. The means they are really not doing any engineering of a machine of there own. They just want to win on someone elses design.. Admirable yes, the more factory support the better. Does it point to a new racer from Kawasaki? Not likely, especially a 2 stroke. The Banshee is the last high-perf 2 stroke we will ever see.

i think kawasaki should make a sport quad with either there 250 crotch rocket engine or 500 ...maybe make the gearing a little lower i bet it would run like a raped ape. they need to do something i mean cmon changing a sport utility into a sport by just taking off the racks and different light setup pretty cheesy to me. they better make something cool within a year

LRD does the motor work on Bill's bike, not Duncan.
