i am in the market of looking for a quad. i used to have a raptor but i had to sell it, what i want is either a TRX 450R or a YFZ450. I dont know to much about both of them, what i want to know is: which is faster? which is a better trail quad? How much do they both cost? Which is the better overall quad?

 

Deff....go with the yfz...it is the faster quad.....i dont know which one is better on the trails but i do know that the yfz is the better all around atv.

 

They are both great quads and you cant go wrong with either. The YFZ is electric start vs the TRX being kick start. Thats about the only difference. Since you owned a raptor why not stick with yamaha.

 

You have to be more of a midget to ride the yfz than the trx.

I'd have to say that the YFZ is a little faster and better trail quad because of its superb handling. And also is the overall best quad. A YFZ will run you about $6900 msrp and I think the HOnda is like $6400. If you do a lot of long trail rides I may go with the Honda because the YFZ's seat is a rock, but you'll probably be standing up most of the time anyway with all the power these two quads both produce. I'd personally go with the YFZ, but if you can find the Honda for considerably less you will be happy either way.

 

yfz is faster TRX is more trail made then the yfz overall u really cant go wrong, i decided by the looks but thats me, both are really great so idk which would be the overall best.........and for 05 they changed te seat its supposely not as hard as the last one

 

Stick with yamaha I bleieve its a lot better overall fit and finish.
