Default 650 Shock Settings..

What settings have you found work the best?

On the 500 and my 650 I've left them at the factory setting. The front seems ok, but the rear might be a bit stiff? I can barely compress the rear when I push down on them..

I found with my 650 that middle on the front is about right, and hard on the back. That's with Dirt Devil tires. If I go to hard on the front, it handles a bit better, but you re-arrange your spine.

I'm finding that the fuel tank on the back really screws up handling. If it had a sway bar, it would steer and handle much better. You'll notice that it really understeers when turning right, as the fuel is all on the right side, and the weight pulls that way. I used to run setting 4 (almost hard) on the back, but 5 makes it more predicable on the steering.

On a days run you have to adjust your riding position to make up for the fuel being burnt,at least thats what I found.

i set mine all soft in the front and all hard in the rear. did it this way to get good ride from the front and good handling from the rear.
seems to work ok, got rid of the squat on hard takeoff.
