650 CVT sticking?
#1
We were out riding through some serious water holes, and it was generating a lot of steam. I know everything was getting hot, as the belt was starting to chirp a bit when going through some of the 1' holes in high range (yeh, I was violating my Arctic Cat advisement letter).
Anyways, after parking it overnight, we jump on and it had to rev up a bit before it would back out (like if the brakes or tires were froze).
Next day, little more water, and worse situation. I'm guessing the secondary sheeve didn't slide all the way back to home position, as it seemed like it was in a super high gear (belt wasn't slipping though). After running it up to 40 MPH a couple of times, it let loose and ran fine.
This time we took dry trails home after the water playing to ensure it dried out inside, and this morning it was fine.
Anyone else had this? Maybe it's time to pull it apart and lube them up a bit....
