I rode my neighbors warrior today and I loved it! Would it be competitive against 400EXs with some mods? Ive never seen a warrior with extended a-arms. do they make them? how does a warrior handle in the air?

I saw this warrior here at the florence OR dunes that was cookin up the jetty wall and it had +3 A-arms, extended axle, Some type of boring, valves, etc. you can buy shocks for them too. Custom fabrications might be required but anything is possible. Your better off selling it to put towards a 250R/400ex,or even a raptor.

To answer your question....Yes!! there are many people racing warriors in district3 NY.I know one guy has aftermarket arms on his(not sure of the brand)

You will always get the answer like... 250r...250r...250r...man am I sick of that bike. I would not buy one just because of hype involved.
I'm sure the 250r is a good bike...But Thunder ridge (local track for D3) is not big enough to take advantage of a 250r, banshee or anything bigger. Most of the races are usually won by riders that you would least expect to win.
Those are the guys on the 4 strokes and bikes you would not normally see racing.
The warrior is a good handling quad...Not the best suspension in the world, But a viable jumper none the less.

Where are the tracks for Distinct 3?

I am from CT and race in the NEAVTA race series. We run at Moto338 in Southwick Ma and Jolly Roger in NH.

To stay on the topic at hand.....

There are Warriors on our tracks, but I have yet to see one win the class. Most racers I see, decide to buy another quad, 400ex or 250r, than dump money into the warrior. But rider makes all the difference.

I find that you can have fun on ANY quad racing.
