I need help with how to increase the speed on a 04 alpha sport 90cc 2 stroke atv. We have different jets and different size sprockets but are not finding the right combination. Any help to make this machine faster would be great. Also how about air pressure in the tires with different ground, someone told us that when the dirt is soft to take some air out of tires is this true. This is our first year of racing and we know nothing except my son is having fun!

 

There are alot of things you can do. Changeing the reeds will make a big difference. Also a good pipe along with a clutch mod kit will really bring it to life. But the #1 and cheapest mod is weight reduction. If you don't need it on the quad to make it run take it off the quad.Wheel weight is a big killer. Steel wheels can weigh as much as 2 to 3 lbs each more than Alum wheels. And in wheel weight you loose 3 lbs for each lbs you reduce. That's alot. There are alot of places to look for these parts.Search the web for mini quad mods. Hope this helps the youngn. Happy racing.
