04 Scrammy overheats
#1
My 2004 Scrambler has had the overheat light come on twice now on the trail. I'm assuming the radiator is just getting full of mud, but wanted to see if anyone out there think it is anything more serious and/or if you guys/gals have had similar problems.

i talked to a local dealer and he laughed because guys were bring in there 4x4 and saying they were over heating , and they didn't know why ,they said there fluid was good ,but what they didn't look at was to see if they could see daylight through there radiator !!! the mud had literaly baked into the finns and he got to charge them like 3 hours shop time because mud in the radiator is not covereed by the warrenty ...

keep your radiator clean!!!
if you are seriously worried about your temps, then i would recommend installing a temp guage. it is way easy to do, and it gives you a piece of mind while riding the trails.
also, to help speed the cooling process, a set of radiator scoops will do you justice.
see my pics to know what im talkin about. if interested, i do make radiator scoops. i have made them for my self and all my polaris buddies.
PM me if you want some, reasonably priced.

It is a round aluminum tube that goes inline with your radiator hose. It has fins on it and it helps to cool your radiator fluid down. The one I got has 20 fins on it. I paid $14 for it from a guy that sells them on Ebay.
