need rincon advice
#1
I'm new to the atv world so please help. I bought a 04 rincon last dec. and i'm already wanting to hop it up some. Hows this... moose jet-kit with filter possibly a slip-on and some 26 inch mudlites. I'm wanting some more low end and mid range without losing any top end. I'm thinking of the the 26inchers cause I know the taller profile will take away from the bottom end somewhat. And i think the mudlite will be a good choice because of the type of riding i do, lots of trail and a little mud, nothing over 12inches and some water about 24inches deep. Am i thinking ok?....

Go to the rincon owners forum and you will find a wealth of info that you will have to sort out for yourself. ( http://rincon.atvowners.com ). I have the dynojet kit with a K&N filter with outerwear. The dynojet will improve your low end power a lot but you will probably lose some top end. I ended up useing the kit but kept the stock honda main jet in place. This combo seemed to give me a good blend of performance troughout the power range. You will see lots of different settings used with the dynojet kit. You will have to determine what works best for you. Go to the website I posted and good luck with your rincon.

I have several friends that got 26in. mud lites and said that they are great in the mud but on the trail they don't handle no where near as good as 25in. tires and the ride suffers also, so if you only do a little mudin and the rest trail riding go with the 25in. mud lites. You will like them alot better. "ALL" the guys that got the 26in. tires sold them and got the 25's. If you putt through the trails you'll be allright I guess with the 26's but if you ride hard you'll wish you would have gotten the 25's. JMO

I have 26" itp 589 m+s tires on mine. I think they ride great. I have no problem hammering it on the trails. The strong sidewalls also help a little taking tighter turns at higher speeds as for body roll.

Philjo,
I just put a Big Dog sport ute series pipe on my rincon and I love it. It adds alot to the bottom end as well as the whole power band. The Big Dog does not require rejetting either. Now with the tires, do your homework. I put 26" mud-lite's on mine and am a little disappointed in the ride. It is not terrible but the ride quality suffers over stock, but the traction is excellent. +/- ???
