i am looking at buying a used bayou 300 or rancher, my question is does the rancher have good low end for plowing snow and pulling small trailers, because the bayou has high and low range and i know it would do alright, i won't be using it except for small work so i'm not worried about the ride.

 

If your going to use the quad just for what you described the Bayou might be the better choice because of the dual range.

First gear on the rancher is almost a granny gear but not as low as the bayou.

 

bayou.. end of story. bayous whether its a 220 or 300 will serve you well.
