had to fix rear taillight wiring on 2003 trailblazer
#1
i had to fix my wiring on my 2003 trailblazer. put a L.E.D. 1157 bulb in the socket and it did not work. tried in my motorcycle worked fine. got out the test light and looked at the wiring. hard to believe but polaris ran the brake light wire to ground and the ground wire to the brakelight filament. a regular 1157 bulb works fine like this but a L.E.D. needs correct polarity. so i cut the two wires and respliced them correctly now regular and L.E.D. bulbs work correctly. guess they are all like this. a regular bulb does not care about polarity.

i did not see any l.e.d. lights on trailtech site. the advantage to l.e.d. lights are that they produce no heat, very low current, and no filament to burn out or break.
