05 ds650 X nerf bars diff from 04 X??

hey i was just wondering are the 04 x nerfs diffrent from the 05x nerfs?

how are they diff? do they get mounted diff? are they a diff shape or what?

Different shape from what I can tell. Not sure about the mounting.
