Should 250R Studder WHile Break In?
#1
Well I'm gonna try to break her in this weekend and I need to know something. Should it studder in like 3/4 throttle in powerband? It does and some people told me I just need to break it in. Is it normal or is something wrong in my carb or something?

And The reason is because I already posted in the honda forum and no one seems to want to answer me.
Would the plug gapping make a difference too?

A plug chop is basically just reading the spark plug. If your motor is running real rich then the inside of the plug will be back and fouled. On the other hand, if your running real lean, then the spark plug will be hot from the heat.
To do a plug chop, you want to run the bike at different throttle positions (1/4 to test pilot circut, 1/2 to test needle and 3/4-full to test the main). In your case, your talking about the 3/4 throttle range, which could mean that your main jet needs adjusting. Take the bike out for a drive and hold it at 3/4 throttle for a moment (it works the best going slightly up hill because it puts a load on the engine) Then without letting off, quickly kill the engine and pull in the clutch. Take the plug out and see what color it is. You want to be looking at the center of the plug on the bottom half of the gap.
